In-Game Chat Guidelines

Please note that the Moderation Team reserves the right to assign temporary, permanent bans, and mutes at will based upon the severity of an infraction.  Bans based on the number of infractions take all infractions into account, regardless of their Active or Expired status.

1. While participating in in-game chat, you agree to respect the rights of others to participate in the community. To this end you shall not harass, defraud, threaten or cause distress and/or unwanted attention to other members or staff. This includes, but is not limited to:

⦿ Name-calling, derogatory references to other members within the community or other insult.

⦿ Posting or commenting with the intent of provoking ("trolling") another user or users.

⦿ Repeatedly commenting about, derogatory referencing, taunting, or flaming another user for their behavior, spelling, grammar, comments, answers, or general behavior which is not in breach of Code of Conduct.

⦿ Be respectful of other users. This means no trolling, personal attacks, profanity, harassment, inappropriate, racist, threatening, obscene material, or other intentionally annoying behavior. This also means being patient with new users as they learn the rules of the road.

⦿ Remain respectful of the company. This means nothing defamatory against game employees, the moderators, or volunteers. 

2. You shall not use, distribute, spotlight, or post links to sexually explicit, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, hateful, racially, nationally, ethnically offensive content or language, or other content deemed inappropriate at the discretion of the moderation team.

3. Slurs, and otherwise obscene language is prohibited. This extends to, but is not limited to, deliberate misspellings, substituted punctuations, or other special characters in, filtered words to circumvent any profanity filters.

    

4. You shall not impersonate any Game of Thrones: Dragonfire or Warner Bros employee, past or present.

    

5. You shall not violate any local, state, national, or international laws, or regulations. Be respectful of the law. This means no discussion of illegal activities, copyright infringement, etc.

    

6. You shall not market, promote, advertise or solicit products or services for sale or trade in game. You may not post advertisements for websites that are not directly related to the titles of the Game of Thrones: Dragonfire.

    

7. No spamming, business solicitation, or other advertising. Any type of soliciting could result in an in-game ban.

    

8. Repeated posting of the same material regardless of subject matter will be regarded as spam and will fall under Rule 7.

    

9. You may not form or participate in groups whose ideology is based on or resembles anti-religious, anti-ethnic, anti-sexual orientation, racist, or sexist philosophies.

    

10.  You shall not upload or transmit copyrighted material without the express consent of the copyright holder. No posting of illegal software, or links to malicious programs (Trojans, viruses, etc).

     

11. You shall not post the personally identifiable information of another user, including but not limited to their real name, address, phone number, email address, or links to personal websites without the express consent of that user.

     

12. Discussion of real life religious or political topics is prohibited in Game of Thrones: Dragonfire. Proliferation, moderation, and allowance of all conversations is subject to developers, moderators and admins.

     

13. Do not re-post or quote any materials which violate these guidelines. This includes re-posting topics which has been previously removed by the moderation team.

     

14. The moderation team does not and will not publicly discuss moderation decisions or disciplinary actions taken against players in public spaces or in private correspondence unless it is the affected user in a private correspondence. This protects the affected users' privacy.

    
    ⦿ Any correspondence that attempts to force information from our moderation and customer support team regarding infractions, bans, chat deletions or modifications, etc., about a user besides yourself could result in disciplinary action taken against your account.

     

15. We can remove anything at any time, at our sole discretion. We also reserve the right to make exceptions to any rule at any time, if we deem it to be of benefit to the community.

     

16. Users must not violate, or promote the violation of WB Games’ terms of service, codes of conduct or end user license agreements.

    ⦿ You are responsible for your online presence. Activity elsewhere on the internet that breaks our guidelines can affect moderation decisions and risk suspension of your account.

    ⦿ You may not use anyone else’s Account at any time and you may not allow anyone else to use your Account at any time. You are responsible for all activity occurring under your Account, including all activities or transactions conducted through the use of your Account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account username and password, and agree not to disclose your username and password to anyone.

     

17. You may not post, repost, or link to any information covered under a Non-disclosure agreement.

     

18. You may not deliberately misrepresent yourself as another player.
