Greetings WB and Turbine Staff,
I wish for your time and your ears (eyes) for one of the most important posts I have made.
Im sure those who regular the forums would noice my absence from this place, but I have returned.
As the post title suggests, im here to talk about a gross violation of multiple ToS points in my kingdom(server). Im sure this problem is not only for my kingdom, but many kingdoms. There are 1 definate violation (multiple counts) and a second offense that im sure is againt ToS somewhere.
VIOLATION 1: A certain group of people on my server (who shall remane nameless unless asked for by staff) have been abusing the refund system of the game, admittingly mind you. They have boasted about their lack of care of being attacked, because the devs will refund them their losses, and more. They boast millions of gold in their accounts, one of whom has enough gold that totals about $3000 USD (can provide screenshot, because this player wanted to show off to everyone). The negative impact this has on the entire server these players belong to is devastating to ALL other players who are spending their hard earned dollar to buy gold to compete with them. Let me list a few scenarios that actually took place that emphasize the devistation that this refund abuse has on the game.
Squirrel belonging to the alliance Teddybear was at 11m power and unbubbled. All the players belonging to the alliance Dolphin decided to rally against Squirrel. Dolphin members lost hundreds if not thousands of dollars in troops and boosts in order to zero Squirrel. They achieved the zero, at their own cost. Now, 11m power isnt cheap to achieve. It costs in the neighborhood of upwards of 500 dollars and more. The very next day, Squirrel shows up at 20m power, and boasts to the Line chat group of the server that he got a dev refund and rebuilt his army twice over with gold to spare. Behold, 10 Dolphins lose hundred of dollars each, while the gold value of their money was given to Squirrel. The staff members who rewarded Squirrel even apologized for his inconveniance. Dolphin members had to spend more of their own money to recover from this incident.
Teddybear alliance has been running around pillaging anyone from Dolphin. Dolphin has had enough and wants to retaliate. They know it will be difficult to retaliate against 20m+ players but do so to send a message. 22 Dolphin players participate in rallies against a Teddybear member who is afk. They shave off 9m of the players 18m power until known Teddybear refund scammers arrive to reinforce their comrad who is being rallied. They send their unethically earned troops in droves to the player and thats the end of that. Dolphin loses a total of 125m power between all of them and doesnt get to zero the target, because any furthur action would only bring value to the cheaters stockpiles for fools gold. The mentality is "go ahead and attack my troops, i will print more than i lost". 125m total power is THOUSANDS of collective dollars lost in this campaign against god. How do you move the immovable object? How do you stop the unstoppable force? The number 125m was supplied to Dolphin by the TeddyBear alliance, because they wanted to laugh at the face of Dolphin and point out the total of the losses. They did the math so they can laugh. Whos going to reimburse Dolphin? Nobody thats who. Because they are not running to the bug report feature asking for a refund.
Now, Teddybear members go out and zero other players at no cost of their own. So what if they lose 2m power themselves after zeroing another player. They got reimbursed for thousands of dollars, they can just rebuild their losses for the next year. Most players attack other players to take their excess resources, in rallies if they must bypass a respectable army. But a lone Teddybear will lose hundreds of dollars in troops to destroy a player for no gain of their own. The thought of having to rebuild or heal wouded troops stops players from attacking larger players. There is a cost to their actions, but take away this cost and you unlesh hellhounds. I have personally spent hundreds of dollars in shields in the last month because my standing army size means nothing to these players. My standing army keeps rational and fair players at bay, but not anymore. Who cares if they collectivley lose 10m power to defeat my army, they will just rebuild for free, and I will sit here in the dirt. Im wasting my money so they wont be able to zero me with their free gold.
This is TOTALLY unethical. The sever is dead enough as it is, 75% of all players at keep 22 and above rallied together to fight back but their efforts were met with the unstoppable force.
Now im sure this problem is in other kingdoms too. Im sure Teddybears are not the only ones who abuse the refunds and wreck havoc. Please, if your server has been afflicated by this curse, upvote this post, give it kudos, type "My server too" get the mods attention. These players deserve to be permenantly banned from the game.
VIOLATION 2: Alliances like Teddybear are actually comprised for 10-12 active players. The other 120 members of their alliance are mule accounts. Level 2 accounts created by some of the 12 members who joined Teddybear and moved on to another acocunt to create bannermen. Now 3 of these teddybear members have their roots set in 3 noteable and saught after seats of power. These seats of power will never see a new owner, because members with 30m power are resting in them, when they really shouldnt. The lowest of the 3 seats is a 3.5 star, and they dont have 20 actual members, they have hundred of mules. Nobody wants to be a part of their team so they made their own puppets to be eligable to gain SoP bonuses. This should be punished as hard as refund abuse. They are abusing the game mechanics and basically not allowing people to take these seats. Whats worse is that they are reaping the bonuses of those seats of power and it is helping them print a larger army for cheaper with training speed reductions.
Now I beg you, members and frequenters of forums. Please let this post gain traction. The thing that is worse than a broken game, is players abusing ToS in a broken game. Im sure some Teddybear members will see this post and come here to discredit the post. If that is to happen, I will be releasing incriminating proof to shut down their false claims.
