So ... basically what I'm hearing is that existing Seats of Power that were basically given out like candy during merges and impossible to take will now additionally reward the people who have them as well as make them even more useful to hold even without the necessary number of banners. You realize that this change likely further entrenches the lottery winners from the earlier missteps? The King's Landing change will make no difference since people are already active during that window and mobile.

Why not just have all seats open every weekend?

Realistically it doesn't matter how many seats are open during the weekend. The time that they are is small enough a window and there are enough people across different timezones -- or are willing to stay up all night -- that you're going to get enough T10s on the board on a mature server. That, combined with the ease of switching allegiance, the lack of a meaningful cooldown period and an abundance of teleports means that while attacking means gathering 48+ people defending a basically unlimited number of Seats of Power requires 7-10.

Can you provide any more insight into the time frame these changes will be released? Does "This week" mean before the weekend?

3 star seats only requiring one Bannerman, is this to include 3.5 star seats? If not, will the requirements for the 3.5 star seats be affected? Seems plausible that the requirements would be lowered for a 3.5 if they are being lowered for a 3.

Unless your in my crappy kingdom where a group of people have damn near gotten every t9 and above into one alliance.. well 2, bc they all cant fit under 1.. and they drop back and forth depending on who they are hitting and what sops are open.... when are the wall sops opening and pyke?

That's the unfortunate part of there basically being no consequences for ignoring those banner requirements and the ease of moving between allegiances. It also speaks to a design that emphasizes size over anything else.

Will KL get the same buffs like the paramount seats? Otherwise it's a rather crap outcome for any KL holder to have every Paramount holder have buffs Vs KL with 100k extra march size and 2 rally slots AS WELL AS the attacker titles given out to ANYONE in the allegiance, whereas KL holder only gets 3.5k buff. Seems more of a FU to KL holders.

WB really over did it this time... take Kingslanding... rein capacity 920k... with these new title updates and bonuses... a k30 has a rally capacity of 950k, add the 87,860 bonus for 1,037,860 total rally capacity... more than any sop.. a k30 has a boosted, plus gear march size of around 110k, plus the title bonus of 146,434.. 256,434.. so 4 k30s can fill a rally alone.. outnumbering any sop including KL.. 5 t9s can fill a rally doing the same.. so every sop, in any active kingdom will be changing hands every few minutes, whoever the lucky person holding it when it locks...

I get it that you’re looking for a higher turnover in sop ownership, but to set up KL for failure is far from any sort of challenge. Adding wildfire for the sop owner might be something to think about. Also, being able to hand down bannerman titles isn’t working yet.

They also decided to make this live on the weekend when every single 3.5 star is locked. A team could have all the 3.5’s line up the titles and bam 4m t10/9 coming in one wave at paramounts. Absolute dirt merchants with 0 foresight to release times and tactics.

I am sure (assuming) that you have considered the ramifications brought up in these posts.  Please, please slow down and at least require that the Lord of castle have the right amount of banners before being allowed to give away these titles.  Already in my kingdom one alliance has stashed many SOPs that are locked in the lower ranks, yet they can still use the banner titles freely.  This is a long standing exploit that had little consequence in the past except to make the game a little  more dull.  Now its consequences are much greater.

Well, it appears that only the rally leader gets the bonus when setting the rally. In addition it does bump up the march size when reinforcing that size Seat of Power. With the bonus it essentially replicates the effects of the 8-man rallies if you have the proper Seats of Power. I will say the description of it is really not helpful. So you're not likely to get 1M rallies here, unless you were getting them before.

But what it does allow is someone to give the rally title, have them start the rally and have everyone join, and then switch them to a combat title. So, basically, they get to have their cake and eat it too. Which seems antithetical to the goal of this update. What o would recommend is that there is a significant cooldown period on the person receiving a title. Such that they can't receive any title for -- I don't know -- a half hour after they last had one.

When I first read this I was actually pretty excited about it. A change that would require allegiances to make decisions about the Seats they held. One that would allow people with T8s to be useful in combat again. More fool I. The only issues this solves are ones that were either unintended consequences of the previous Seat of Power changes or ones that no-one was looking for.

So the first major change is that you can solo Seats of Power again. An attackers can get a larger march than the defender has, but since that's basically parity with what we had before it's nothing exciting. The second is that you can now require fewer people to reinforce a Seat of Power since they can be given an extra 100k+ march size. Getting sufficient passive defenders hasn't been an issue. And, of course, it solves the issue of having some Seats that were held by people who didn't have the banners by simply reducing that number.

But other than that it's basically the 8-man rallies dressed up in additional rules that don't actually do anything other than give the illusion of changing something. Rally sizes will be the same -- you just need one fewer person. So maybe instead of 64 people you need 58. Yay? It also makes it a little more difficult to attack Paramounts since you need a sufficient number of 3.5 stars. Which, again, I don't think anyone was asking for that to be harder.

So you've further entrenched the people who happened to get lucky at the opening of Paramounts, provided what could have been an interesting decision to make but left just enough room for it to be exploited and did nothing to address the underlying issues of attack and defense and allegiances and banners.

A better way would have been to have fewer titles being able to be given but have them apply to everyone in the rally. Yes, that would have allowed for potentially very large rallies, but constrained by the Great Hall and limited to only a few people. And it would have required people to choose between keeping different Seats and allowed challenges to otherwise unassailable Seats. But, no, we just have more of the same.

Congratulations WB you only further widened the gap between free-to-play/moderate spenders, and mega spenders.
Between adult dragons, vs player applying to SOP, new armory feature, and finally these ridiculous sop titles that add +2 march with a significant owners march making it closer to +3 rally slots it's completely ruined the balance in the game.

Forget t9s being obsolete t10s cant even win battle reports vs all these new changes considering they heavily favor the attack (which is good) but WB overdid it and did too much at once. You're talking hundreds of percentages in stat changes, and larger than sop capacity. How do you expect a team holding kings landing to hold for 48 hours every single weekend at such a disadvantage?.. shame on you WB nothing more than a money grab.. but unfortunately for you these changes are forcing players to quit so congratulations!

Congratulations you managed to turn a fun game into a dark hole for money. The only way people can manage to play the game and defend sops with this new update is by spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars each week, and since you made i quite clear you wanted to simplify the game for BIG SPENDERS with no clue of how to play this game, I really wish it will only be WB and them still sticking to this stupid UNFAIR, UNHEALTHY and BORING game.

Cause that is what this update did, it made the game totally boring. People have to be awake 48hrs during the weekend and spend loads of money AND HAVE 0 FUN.

And this on a simple game which you also don't seem to make work correctly.

If I ever find a way to get all my money back from you be sure I will. this is complete FRAUD.

NOT WORKING GAME, RULE CHANGING BASED ON REQUESTS FROM HIGH SPENDERS, IMPOSSIBILITY TO GROW WITHOUT SPENDING, UNBALANCED DEFENSE/ATTACK SYSTEM.

Well I bet you got the worse game of the century title, no bannermans required to have that... so ENJOY

This is not a game.  It was a sale.  WB sold kingdoms to the highest bidder.  You should be embarrassed.  This is not a strategy game.  It used to be.  Now, the person who gets the SOPs is the person who is willing to spend the most.  You literally made it impossible to hold ANY SOP.  The team that holds Kings Landing is now punished for holding it by having it open 48 hours out of every week and they have to spend those 48 hours defending against rallies with over 1 million troops while the rein cap at KL is 950k (with decent Mormont gear).  That defending costs multiple people hundreds of dollars each weekend.  Not only that, but now, unless you have T10s, you can't even defend.  Your goal has been to make money, but the trust fund babies that you've adjusted the game to please aren't going to have anyone to fight anymore, so they won't have any reason to buy any packs.  You ruined the game by catering to 1%.

While the update has some very exciting quality of life changes like increases to Winterfell ( finally recognized as a great SOP! ), buffs to regional bonuses for Paramounts, ability to pass titles to anyone in your allegiance (so thankful for this), and of course 3 day reinforcing... It has completely evaporated any happiness that could be had by giving outrageous attacker buffs.

The Math seems to be a little off.  Why does a 4.5* SoP have 95k less reinforcement capacity than KL but the 4.5* attacker buff only has 15k less added march size?  If a rally team can get over 1M troops against KL, they can get close to or over a million troops against a 3.5* that has almost 200k less capacity, the difference in KL attacker march buff and 3.5 attacker march buff is 26k troops.  What is the drive behind these egregious differences other than increasing wounded bills?

When you add rally slots and "starter march size" buffs, you are doubling up.  +2 rally slots and +150k march size,  that's +3.5 marches.  To top it off, the offensive scaling from Adult Dragon and Armory is absurd.  Right now there are SS's of reports floating around of T10's with Dragons SOLOING 3.5* SoPs and winning.  2.5 SoPs have been completely soloed and EMPTIED by T10's with Adult Dragons.  Is that intended??  Who knows what went through the heads of those defenders when they saw the reports.  I imagine when they thought of 7 more T10s with Dragons rallying them instead of soloing the seat they considered climbing to the other side of the wall, becoming a wildling, and taking their chances with the White Walkers.

What used to be an exciting to have, thrilling to capture, game reward that drove GoT fans/teams to extreme hours and money playing this game are now simply financial burdens to be questioned.  "Is it worth it?"  No one in their right mind wants to fork over obscene amounts of money just to heal wounded troops and be unable to continue account growth.  We spend money because we're having fun, growing our keep, fighting battles, crafting unique gear, and participating in events.  It used to take careful diplomacy, uniting of masses, and strategic planning to execute and penetrate defenses... now 1 rally team of mega spenders who want to impose their will can by bankrupting anyone foolish enough to defend against them by pitting money against money.

Basically in order to keep a Seat of Power you need T10s. T8s and, depending on stats, T9s will get steamrollered by the new changes, at least in 2.5 and probably 3.5 star Seats. Whether that's a good thing or not is going to depend heavily on whether it's your Seat of Power that your defending or one you're attacking. But, yeah, it will reduce the number of people defending since waking up to a 30M food bill isn't fun.

well my merged kingdom has all time unlocked seats of power and these new mechanics are crazy when having 24/7/365 all these valuable seats open, K245 has all time unlocked swats of power and yes we have lost our sleep and wondering if we get attacked from the enemies , i am a very old player my first kingdom was K9 and i have been through almost all updates WB has made all this time , i can say that having locked seats is a luxury right now and people can’t keep up with that activity and these new attack boosts , defending those seats for 24-48 hours is decent and acceptable with these mechanics but having them all year unlocked is crazy and we also have real life , enjoy and have fun

So, after seeing the results of this past weekend I have a couple of thoughts. Several Paramounts were taken, I know that Storm's End was on a few servers, Casterly Rock as well. King's Landing was threatened and had it's wall knocked down. To my mind that's a positive development. Now, let's talk about the negative: most of those victories were made by allegiances or alliances that were already significantly stronger than their opponents. To harp on this a little the game allows users to violate and abuse a mechanic that is intended to prevent one side from taking all the marbles. It has been broken since day one with no effort made to fix it. As such there is no mechanism that enforces a regression towards the mean, which generally causes an inbalance such that one team has done just about all they can do and any others can't do anything until all anyone can do is play whack-a-mole against anyone who becomes unbubbled. That may be "realistic" in the flavor of Game of Thrones but it makes for a horrible game. There's a reason why professional sports, for example, have things like salary caps, lottery drafts, etc. Because an individual can spend as much money as they want, can group with any number of other players who can spend a similar amount of money and can control basically all of the assets of the game, even if they can't make use of all them they can deny them to others, there is absolutely no rational reason why they wouldn't.

Of course, the absolutely worst decision that could be made at this point would be to tone down the offense -- sorry, balance it -- and make it all but impossible for the gains of the last two weeks to be reversed. So I'm sure that's on the table.

As far as permanently unlocked seats I don't know if that's a bad idea. It just means that you are likely to lose it at some point. But, at the same time, the difference between a 2 star Seat of Power bonus of 34% and a 4.5 star bonus of -- what? -- 45% is probably less than 7% of what people get now that "vs. Player" stats apply at Seats of Power and you have the Armory. Or another way of looking at it is that it's one piece of gear from level 35 to level 40.

You're forgetting about the region bonus' and stacking.. so if you control both kings landing and winterfell for example you can rally from winterfell and receive (30% inf attack from KL - 20% from winterfell) which stack to 50%

The real inbalance in the game is the vs player stats applying to SOPs as it has made adult dragons OP due to their massive vs player resesrch stats applying to SOP battles.
