Howdy WB Staff and other players!
I just got done doing the survey that was sent to us and Ive got to say, im happy that the Devs are trying to hear us out.
As for the part of the survery that asked for what you would want be changed, I have an idea that I feel can solve MOST of the issues I have personally wrote about on this forum section (hopefully people recognize me and my complaints lol).
As for my idea...
I submit that the game needs PvE keeps for players to attack. Wild NPC keeps can spawn on the map with a keep level much like monsters. Each city will have a keep level and corresponding stats to that keep level. (Keep level 1 has t1 troops, Keep level 16 has t6 troops).
These keeps have an army within them that varies based on level, and players need to scout them out to see what they are up against. The keep can have resources at hand such as wood, food, stone and iron. When sucessfully attacked these resources come to the player just like attacking another player (except food, that should come in crates because upkeep is still broken). What seperates this from regular NPC mobs on the map is that the NPC City needs a rally to overcome. Basically pretend you are hitting another player, but it isnt a real player. See their troops and traps and rally against it. And after the walls reach 0 after multiple sucessfull rallies, the keep dissapears and all the contributing members in the entire process get exclusive rewards, like solider pine, bricks, keystones, speed boosts, extra resrouce crates and so on. This can give alliances and players comething to do between seat of power releases. These NPC cities would spawn less frequently then regular mobs and require some time and effort to take down with the help of your alliance. The rewards would scale based on NPC level (goes without saying), and the rewards should be worth while so when a NPC city spawns, it isnt untouched for longer than a few minutes without an alliance moving in on it.
The events can even be themed! "The ironborn are raiding the seven kingdoms, destroy their strongholds and send them back!".
Also note that IMO, troops should become wounded and die if the attack is close or you bit off more you could chew, but with all comabat, i suggest that the mortality/wounded ratio be a little less dramatic. Having 100% death rate is the most aggrovating thing in this game for attackers, so hopefully the death rate can be adjusted?
ALSO ONE IMPORTANT NOTE I WANT TO THROW IN HERE
This part is not related to the idea above, just general.
Each tier solder has a "power" level. A t7 solider is valued at 9.8 power each. They have their baseline stats such as defense, attack, health and so on. These numbers never change and reflect any bonus the user has on such as armor or attack defense boosts. I would like to BEG the devs to have the power number, attack, health, ETC change live based on what bonus the user is sporting. My stats say my character has a 50% ranged attack bonus, but i dont see that reflected int he troop stats or in a rally.
How are my thoughts? Comments and criticism welcome :D
