Just wanted to give the devs their due, I appreciate the effort that was made to try to mitigate the defensive advantage for seat holders.
Our kingdom (115) had one of the higher, if not highest variation on the boosts (+80% dead to wounded, +16,000 march size vs SOP, +50,000 rally cap). I'm curious if the variation on these was to do a sort of controlled experiment, but I'm resigned to not getting a satisfying answer on this.
It certainly spurred some teams to make an attempt at seats, but none of the efforts were successful. A small alliance was still able to hold a 3-star seat (Ashford) against 2-3 rolling rally teams from a larger alliance, who despite knocking down the wall, were unable to clear the troops and take it over.
My take away is that it's a step in the right direction, and hopefully something that will be instituted full time, or at least during seat opening periods.
Curious to see other people's take on it.
