Keep 30 time frame?

Well, it's basically not feasible. Just to give you an example my seriously back of envelope math gives you 733 keystones in 6 months starting from keep level 1. Getting to keep level 22 takes 6,023. So, at that rate it's -- what? -- 4.5 years to get to keep 22 without buying? But, yeah, the game is not designed to allow a F2P player progress past a pretty limited level. Period. And there is no significant way that increasing your time playing will shorten this period significantly since you're limited by stamina regeneration and gathering time. Also it's not just the keyestones, literally every consumable has the same issue. Even in a world where you weren't dealing with PvP you'll be at most at 15% of what's required to get to keep level 22 after 6 months.

so would the better question be "how much does it cost to reach keep 30"? Not including making troops and only building the necessary buildings.

Well, to get to keep 30 takes 107,181 keystones. At the best current packs that I've seen for keystones and using all the gold to purchase keystones it would take 102 of the $99 packs. I'm not doing the math, but I would suspect that you would not get all of the needed other materials, so you would end up swapping out some of those for Gold packs to buy stamina and Resource packs for Food and Wood. So, I would guestimate somewhere in the neighborhood of $12,000 - $13,000 USD at today's prices.

why dont you become a moderator on here ? it seems you know so much of the game and you tend to reply a lot faster then most of them. That leaves me thinking. should I save my money that I would spend on packs or save for another car. If this game fails I will be out all my money. With a car at least I have something to show for it :)

I have a couple of advantage, , I get to pick and choose what respond to and I get to be as opinionated and blunt as I want to be. I've done content moderation and it can be a difficult position. I'd rather stay where I am :). I've heard stories of people getting sucked into this sort of game and not having any sort of discipline on their spending. I think if you asked most people they would be surprised at the amount of money that they've spent and had they considered what that might be overall would seriously consider trying to go back in time and not play. Also consider the ongoing costs of playing the game. In order to compete in PvP, which is really the only reason to be keep level 30, you need to have a lot of troops, at least 5 marches worth of your highest because you will lose some during any sort of extended combat. Realistically you need 2M+ in order to not to have to shield, likely closer to 2.5M+ (on K114, might be higher on other servers). And you will lose them, so you need to plan on being able to replace. Some of that you may be able to mitigate by gathering, shrine and port, but you'll run out of speed-ups eventually. That's also not counting the Advanced Teleports and gold for stamina to keep your equipment up-to-date. Otherwise you'll get to the top and then slowly diminish or simply not play because you can't afford to keep up. I've seen that happen to people and I have to question what they're doing. In the end I think it's kind of like any other sort of expensive hobby. Golf, models / miniatures, scuba diving, cars, shooting, etc.

Keep 30 will take anywhere from 16-20k. Keep 22 is around 2k, keep 26 takes about 4K from 22. Then another 10-12k from from 26 to 30. That’s by using gold for resources as well as buying stamina to farm brick and pine like crazy.

I think those numbers are based on the original packs. It's pretty easy to get packs with large numbers of keystones like the Advanced Building Pack, larger amounts of food like the PvP pack, or larger amounts of wood or iron from ones with lots of Shrine wishes.

2,000 to get to keep 22? Thats too much, if you play the game you can get all you need for keep 22 except food and keystones.

I think that's overly optimistic, . I would expect it you could get at most 20-25% of the required bricks and pine in 6-8 months.
