    Since the last update, mobile data trafic has been very high. One game load about 300mb. Today I used 2gb. Im very nervous. Android user

    I agree. I wasn't even logged in and received message from my mobile provider that I used up excessive amount of data todag. It drained 130mb in 30, seconds.... And the game was still loading

    I too have tghis problem....I have had To purchase an extra dat a pack from my provider..... will this be rimbersed?

    They taking your Facebook info through the app. Wb is Making money as fast as they can print it.

    Hey all,

     

    The latest update had a lot of new assets to it, causing increased load times the first time you access the game after updating. If you're still experiencing increased data use, please close out the game then re-enter. It should be a bit lighter once everything has loaded once.

    Closing the app and reopening is the issue !

     

    Everytime we do it, we have to download a huge amount of data.

    I am consuming huge amount of data every time I load the game. Not just the first time after the update. Others on android have also experienced this not sure about Apple users. But it's a matter of concern that such heavy data usage is required for load out every time. I have a pretty liberal plan for data but can't have the game consuming couple of GB every day

    Yep, here as well: 2GB of Mobile Data down the drain, it consumes a few 100MB with each start @ Android...

    This definitely shouldn't be happening on every start. I'll reach out to the team again and see what else might be causing this.

    In the meantime, I suggest playing on wifi where you can, and make sure the game has fully loaded after the last update.

    Yeah please do. With the battery usage the game requires its not possible to keep it on all the time and if every load out takes so much data would make it very difficult to play.

    I have encountered the same problem. Thanks Maegon for expressing that it should not be happening every time. Other support people have been less than helpful or sympathetic.

    I've used 1.3gb of data today and my game still hasnt even loaded. Just times out. Even on wifi last night it would time out. And other android user.

    I've opened the game multiple times over the last few days. Closing and re-opening the game caused it to download ~350M of data. This isn't a transient issue, . This is a "I can't login unless I pay my provider lots of money" sort of issue. And, since inactivity can often cause people to be attacked they're caught in a trap of being unable to defend themselves and others or risking paying out-of-pocket to their network provider.

    They have put a message in game that there is an issue with Android in load times and has not yet been resolved but hopefully they ll sort it out quick.

    The thing is that this isn't about load times. If it were just that it would be fine. This is about people either being locked out of the game because their network provider is blocking large file downloads or people incurring potentially substantial costs for playing over a metered connection. Right now the total amount of data the game has used in the current cycle is almost 2 and a half times what was used in the previous one. And my usage of it hasn't really changed. There is a giant spike over the last couple of days and not everyone constantly checks their data usage. Saying it's about "load time" obfuscates the real issue.

    The team is working on it right now, and we're hoping to have a fix before the end of the day. If it looks like it might be longer, we'll post another update.

    We just released a hotfix, and Android performance should be greatly improved. Please make sure to download the latest update! Your first time accessing the game may be a bit longer than usual, but afterwards it should function as normal.

    Let us know if you continue experiencing high load times, large amounts of data usage, or if you have trouble accessing the game.

    Hey since the android update there is a new problem.

    We all know that the loadingtime increased but since that the game tooks so much mb´s of my data-volume.

    When im not logged in in a wlan-spot its IMPOSSIBLE to play.

    Yesterday it costs me 3GB without playing ten minutes.

    I´ve checked it the last 5 months the game needed 1.3 Gb per month.

    If u need i can also make screenshots.

    Please fix it.

    Yeah, who's gonna pay for the extra data? My game used 12gb in a day coz I had no idea about this problem. At least WB could write a in game warning. Wrote a ticket and added SS of GOTC data usage that day.
    The response didn't help me at all:

    I'm sorry to hear that the app consumed a large amount of your data.

    I have taken your report as a feedback and forwarded it to the game development team for further review and investigation.

    Please note that your ticket has been closed and you will not receive an additional response.

    Yup, a lot of data without any warning.

     

    It exceeded my data pack and you all know how much these carriers charge you once you cross that limit. Currently, i am stationed in a country which is not a bit generous about it and my data bill for 1 day was almost five time my total phone of last month. Even after that the game my not loaded.

     

    so it was like this:

    1. monetary loss because of data

    2. unreal battery consumption

    3. heated cellphone

    4. can't log in the game

    5. waste of time

    6. loss incurred in the game due to the issue

    7. waste of time replying to all those ticket emails to get an automated reply.

    8. wasting the time by continuing on this issue resolution.

     

     

     

    I consider it a serious breach of trust of the user. WB actually don't even care about it and their new customer care is great are giving you same reply, frustrate you and then close the ticket.

    I have raised this issue through a ticket, reported the issue on google play store, raised a second ticket as the first got closed with the automated reply and started a thread on this forum. Till now no solution at all. I am thinking about taking some more steps this week.

    So today Google contacted me for this issue.

    They said they will take my feedback and notify the developers.

    They suggested me to file another ticket for the response. I told them It's WB and they don't actually care. They still suggested filing one for their records. So I filed another ticket #248267.

     

    Let's see what response I get this time.

    I am wondering if you got anywhere with this? I only know a few people who seem to have suffered thesame issue

     

    I was one onf them and a still waiting for WB to get back to me; but the last 1 advisors have said my ticket is being looked at!!!

     

    Suffering an ingame loss is bad enough but a real life loss of money due to an error with WB's game is totally unacceptable

     

    When will i get a response to this WB???? 

     

    Help Request Received #228184 - this is the accumulated ticket i have open rounding up all the errors i had culmumnating in this horrible data issue. Get back to me!!

    I had the same issue, but it seems fixed now. Sucked cause I had to turn my data off for the rest of the month and could only play on wi-fi

    Wondering when you will be getting back to me about this with a propert response?

     

    No i dont need to switch my phone on airlplane mode. No i dont have an issue with space or need to restart my router

     

    I am still waiting for a correct explanation, reponse and appropriate compensation.
