    Players have been asking for keystone events or other means to acquire keystones, besides buying packs. Count me among the many who want to, but cannot, advance in the game without keystones. My buildings are at a standstill and I cannot advance without hundreds of keystones. It is an easy fix to create keystone caravan events, add keystones as a shrine item, deliver keystones in the port, keystone bonus creatures, forging keystones, the options are wide open, and would be welcomed by players. If players can’t spend time on the game to advance, they leave. Let’s tey to keep players active with some improvements like keystone availability. Thank you!

    i remember ONCE since I started playing in December, there was a "food Caravan" day.
    Would it be that difficult to make Wood/Keystone caravans as well as food caravans more common?
    as I see it... everyone needs those resources in abundance, and it's engaging for players to hunt caravans, meaning that even "wars" sometimes take a back seat to the brick/soldier pine caravans.
    especially in my case, where i need thousands and thousands of them to upgrade anything. Wood/food/keystones could do the same thing. even make it a leaderboard event, would be fun.. and i know i'd dump tens of thousands of gold in to hunting keystone, if the return is worth it

    Mods have posted in other threads that 'its a delicate balance' or 'keystones are readily available from gathering'. It's hopeless. They don't know or don't care.

    Keystones were only available from gathering in the beta kingdoms as far as I understand.....
    which means the rest of us are SOL

    First they upped pack prices unilaterally, now they reduce rss drops from monsters with no advanced materials. What's next? I too cannot progress without keystones and the 9 digit food/wood needed to upgrade key buildings. Ditto for Iron. 5400 Iron from a level 6 mine that takes hours to gather when you need millions.

    Now the beta kingdoms have no keystone drops there balance of the game is fubar, no way in hell a k22 player can catch up to the the k26-k30s people will quit and the servers will merge again and again every 2 months. Pathetic game balancing and no fairness at all.

    My view on keystones!

    Ways to get them are;
    - Gather (happens rarely and you get 1)
    - Pray for Wood (again... rarely and also get 1)
    - Daily Quests (1 rewarded for reaching 700pts)
    - Advanced rss shipment (gives between 1-3)

    I've been playing the game for 8months now and I am Keep 21. I recently bought 3 good packs to try get from Keep 19 to 22. This is impossibe without spending money!!! The resourses required to upgrade are over the top and down right shocking! This is a game played on a mobile yet the packs cost close to, if not more than my mobile... where is the logic in that?

    Balancing needs to be done before you end up losing players because I feel like im at a hault now with your overpriced packs. Not only are they overpriced. The contents of them are so pathetic how the hell can I upgrade with a £99.99 building pack when you put 100 Keystones in it.. SERIOUSLY?! 100......

    The only packs worth buying are the ones that come around rarely during events like the Advanced Building Pack etc... I love this game so much. However, the developers are so money hungry they do not give a single f*** about the players. I have bought my last pack! And I will not spend another penny until you sort your **bleep** out...

    Problems that need fixing in my opinion;
    - Keystones
    Needs to be some way of being able to attack caravans to aquire this RARE necessity to progress in your game. Also, to buy these cost a REDICULOUS amount of gold!

    - Costs of Upgrading (Refferring to Resourses)
    It costs me 60-70M wood and food to upgrade to Keep 22. This is shocking, your highest value packs don't have this amount so I would need to buy more than one.. (SHOCKING) You are not catering to all players and this needs balanced. Maybe give rewards that speed gathering up or increase gathering amount.

    - Event Caravan Drop Rates
    These are terrible. There should be steel dropping in every single caravan regardless. If your going to make the costs of upgrading so **bleep** high, then don't you think drop rates for the required materials should be significantly higher!?

    You have huge potential here to make your game into something really great! But at the minute you are ripping people off with the requirements to progress. You are almost forcing players to feel peer pressured into spending. No game should be like this. Spenders are killing off people who do not spend as much. Of course, some players will be able to spend more than others, but my point is the players that dont spend as much are going to be overwhelmed by the requirements to progress!! Especially when the bigger players are going to easily take what they have when they finally get the chance to upgrade.

    I hope your game gets better soon! Wouldn't like to see more people leave my kingdom because they can't afford your silly overpriced packs.
    Not only this, recently the game has been having a lot of performance issues and the compensation for this is just insulting, especially to the players that spend the money on it. Me being one of those players, I am disappointed. The pay reward ratio is very very bad! So why pay? Yes im invested in the game EVEN THOUGH your customer service is appauling. I am done spending until you sort your game out! :)

    A small sample size is basically an anecdote. Of the roughly 200 level 6 tiles I've recorded over the last few months I've gotten a little over 50 keystones. 166 of the gathering tiles yielded no keystones, 34 yielded one, 7 yielded two and 1 yielded 3. With buffs and gear that represents a minimum of about 800 hours or, assuming complete productivity, roughly 40 days (I assume some sleep in there) of full-out gathering. With titles and regional bonuses you can probably get it down further. With 1,160 keystones to get a level 25 Maester's Tower it will take me around 900 days to get that. So, clearly, gathering tiles are not a practical method of gaining sufficient keystones to advance at the level I am now. Quite bluntly you can probably get to level 20 or 21 without spending significant amounts of money on packs. Past that, however, the number of keystones scales to make it out of reach unless you are prepared to spend. And each level, each additional building in some cases, requires additional expenditures. I'll also be clear that this is not just an issue with keystones, resources are also an issue, particularly food since it cannot be stockpiled the way the other resources can. Keep 26, for example, requires 232M food. Since you can't get it from gathering you're left to get it from the port or creatures. In order to get that from creatures it would require killing a minimum of 5,300 level 29 creatures, assuming that I were to get stupendously lucky and they all dropped food and I was able to heal my troops using the output of my farms. That would only take about a year of hunting to get.

    The TL;DR version of this is that the game is not designed for you to be able to progress to a point where you can compete with paying players without doing so yourself. In order to build you must buy packs. Players should set their expectations accordingly. Similarly WB saying otherwise is disingenuous.

    im keep level 26 and to get to keep 27 ill have to spend 1000 GBP which is ridiculous. im going to stop spending money on this game if the only way to get keystones is to pay and there is no option to get through hardwork .

    By my calculations it will cost around $13,000 to advance to L30 on the new 'Building Enhancement' feature just for the Keystones.

    A joke surely?

    Well, how much would it cost to get the Military Mastery V chain? Are you referring to getting to that level for all of them? Then how much for all level V chains? To be blunt very few, if any, players will actually get these things. In fact I could argue that they don't really exist in order for them to be attainable, but instead to normalize the other costs in the game. You know, a sort of "well, $13,000 is really crazy, but getting to level 27 is only $1,000; it's a bargain!"

    I see this topic is almost a year old and the developers are still frantically trying to figure out how to develop keystones. I think based on the shape of keystones it will require a lot more time to be able to develop the data needed to make them or a more experienced development group. perhaps Zynga should buy the company ?? they did pretty well with many other games. I am at keep 19 and to upgrade to keep 20 I need about 480 keystones !!! I dont pay for the game , so i am here trying to figure out how i can get them quickly with out being forced to spend money??? Hopefully some one smart with development can give me some hints on how to do that ??

    I've seen this a lot in these forums, people wondering how they can continue to play without being "forced to spend money." Here's the blunt truth: you can't. Oh, sure you can login, hunt your 10 creatures a day, collect from your farms, etc., gather the occasional keystone; but practically speaking without spending money your progress will cease at around 3 or 4 marches of T7 troops. It is "free to play" inasmuch as you don't pay to open the game. In-app purchases are the only monetization going on in the game so they are actively working to reduce free-riders and convert them to paying customers. It's not that they can't add keystones, that's easy. It's that they don't want to. And, by all accounts, at the moment they don't need to expand their targeted audience to include low-spenders. You should set your expectations accordingly.
