Hey everyone!
We have some news regarding Kingdom Merges. Last month we opted to only go through with first-time merges. Many of you pointed out that this was a deviation from the norm, so let’s talk about why we made that decision.
Each time a kingdom merges, its total population grows. That takes a toll, most noticeably on merge time, but also creates complications that were not on our radar when this system was designed years ago.
This is a hugely important part of the game, and we’re at a point where we need to take steps to make sure this system works predictably again. While we’re at it, we’ll also be evaluating if this format still accomplishes its intended goal or if there are other improvements we can make.
Reworking Kingdom Merges will be a major focus for our engineering team as we end 2020 and enter 2021.
This means that merge cadence will likely change for the next several months, particularly for 3rd and 4th merge kingdoms. We completely understand that merges are an exciting time in a kingdom's life and that delaying merges has consequences. We do not take this decision lightly, but making sure that merging is safe and sustainable has to be our main priority.
We have already started evaluating this project, and we believe that it may be a long process. It deals with some very vital systems and we want to make sure we do this right.

Last merge brought a lot of confusion and issues. As more players are in the server, more difficult is to play without glitches. I noticed more problems in game than before
The initial battles are passed- all regions have unlocked, all Seats of Power have been claimed. The unique politics of your kingdom have played out. At this point, you are ready to take on the challenge of the unknown, meeting a completely different kingdom on the battlefield to see what alliances will be made and what empires might fall in a new, merged kingdom.
